Welcome to TERASIA Online Week 2022 + Onsite!

The age of isolation that suddenly began three years ago now looks entirely different. Despite its profound effects on politics, economy, and society, the average number of deaths due to Covid-19 have decreased worldwide, and it has now become much more possible to cross borders and travel in person.

TERASIA, too, is evolving: in September 2022, we gathered in person for the first time since the start of this project in Jakarta, Indonesia. We’ve welcomed new members into the team, and preparations for next year’s art festival, Sua TERASIA 2023, is well underway. “Sua” means “gathering” or “encounter” in Indonesian. Now, we are bound for the culmination of our journey, where all the members of each country will finally meet in one place.

TERASIA Online Week 2022 + Onsite will be the last point of transit for the TERASIA members on this journey. This website is packed with a colorful range of art projects, along with the thought process and experimentation that went into their creation. We hope this website will offer a space for visitors to explore these ideas however they like and feel a spark of inspiration. At the same time, we are running onsite events in each country, where audiences can actually visit. Those site-specific events promise to give you a unique, local experience, something that can only be felt in person.

We will have ten days of connecting, appreciating, and entertaining across borders and through the screen. We hope you will join us, and look forward to seeing you, wherever you are in the world!
